A Baby Announcement

On Saturday I read the book "I'm a Big Brother" to Christopher. Christopher is going to be a big brother in about a month.

We have been dusting off Emma's baby clothes and preparing to adopt a baby girl due some time between November 30 and December 5. This was not planned, but we are looking forward to loving this little girl and welcoming her into our family.

Adoption has changed our lives in more ways than just bringing children into our family. I have learned so much from adoption. I have learned to be a better person by opening my heart to so many people that I would never have known without this journey. I have learned to put my trust in God. I have learned that His plan is not always my plan. I have learned to be patient (well, maybe I'm still learning that one). Mostly I have learned that love has no boundaries.
